Description

ISOSPIN Agarose Gel is a kit for extracting and purifying DNA fragments from agarose gel using a spin column. The ISOSPIN series utilizes the principle of DNA adsorption to silica in the presence of chaotropic ions, eliminating the need for toxic organic solvents such as phenol and chloroform. The spin column used maximizes column volume, and the embedded silica membrane ensures sufficient DNA adsorption capacity and high elution efficiency.
This kit can be used with agarose other than low-melting point types and high-concentration agarose gels (5% or less), allowing for easy DNA recovery in approximately 30 minutes. The resulting DNA can be used in molecular biology experiments such as restriction enzyme reactions, sequencing, and cloning.
